The Grinnell Community Meal is served weekly at the Grinnell United Methodist Church (GUMC) on Thursday nights from 5:30–6:00 p.m. The meal is open to ALL community members and operates in partnership with community groups. Volunteers cook, serve and clean up while engaging with other community members through service and fellowship. The Grinnell Community Meal not only addresses local food insecurities, but also helps to create and maintain connections with our local community members and engage in meaningful conversations which strengthens our community as a whole. These meals are not restricted to any religious group or denomination.
Any support is welcome, whether it be through volunteering or financial support. If you are interested in volunteering to set up, cook, provide desserts or clean up, click the Community Meal Volunteer Signup button below.
Community meal guests and volunteers should enter using the Park Street doors.
